Special Mushroom Herb Rice

Mushroom herb rice is aromatic and flavourful dish served with seasoned rice and creamy mushroom gravy. Check out the recipe below!

~INGREDIENTS:

  • 250gm Mushroom
  • 1 small capsicum
  • 1 small onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 cup Rice (soak for 30 mins and boil)
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Tbsp All purpose flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Coriander stem
  • Finely chopped Coriander
  • Chilli flakes
  • Oregano
  • Black Pepper
  • Salt to taste

~METHOD:

1). Chop Vegetables

Finely chop onion , garlic and capsicum into small pieces. Wash the mushrooms properly and cut them too.

2). Cook The Rice

Heat 2 tbsp of butter in a pan. Add some minced garlic , seasonings like oregano, chilli flakes, black pepper and coriander stems. Stir it well then add the boiled rice , salt and coriander leaves. Mix it well cook the rice fast in just 2-5 mins otherwise it will stick to the pan and may get burned. So your herbed rice is ready!

3).Saute mushrooms

Heat a pan add some butter , add the sliced mushrooms . Saute it and cook it well add some salt and pepper to it and it’s done.

4). Prepare The Sauce

Heat 2 tbsp of butter in saucepan, add some minced garlic and let it saute. Now add 2 tbsp of flour and saute it for 1 -2 min then add the milk use a whisker , whisk it continously so theres\’s no lump left.

Add all the seasonings: salt to taste , black pepper , chilli flakes and oregano. Time to add the sauted mushroom and coriander. Mix all of these and let it cook again for 2 mins so the flavour merges together.

5). Plate the dish

Take a plate place the herbed rice in half side and pour the mushroom gravy on other half and it\’s done your mushroom herb rice is ready to eat! Enjoy!
